AJUMMA EXP
After participating in a flashmob years ago, the invigorating experience never left me and likely planted the seed of Ajumma EXP, a hip hop flashmob group that I co-founded in 2017. (The word ajumma means middle-aged woman in Korean). Through our fun and lively flashmobs, we hope to reclaim, reimagine and redefine what it means to be in your late 30s, 40s, 50s and beyond.
Most of our flashmobs take place in the first three months of the year in conjunction with Korean American Day or Women’s History Month. We are so grateful and honored to be recognized by White House staff, Hollywood movie directors, and many news outlets in San Diego and South Korea.
